Sunday School

The mission of Family of Christ’s Sunday school program is to teach the Gospel with a joyful spirit to those who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, calling them into faith, while sharing and strengthening the faith of our members and fellow believers.

Children engage in active learning experiences through songs of praise and worship, prayers, acting out Bible stories, games and crafts that are themed towards each lesson.

Middle school students may help with Sunday school classes for volunteer hours with permission from Youth Leadership and the Sunday School Coordinator.

New Tampa Campus:

Children’s Sunday school classes are held during the 9am and 11am services. Children between the ages of 4-11 may participate.

(VPK- 5th grade) Sunday school begins as a large group and then students divide into two groups for the lesson based on their age and grade level. A staffed nursery is available for children 3 years old and under.

Elementary School Youth

“Kidz Praise”

Kidz Praise is our Wednesday night worship time for children in VPK to 5th grade. We meet in the first building on Campus (CDC building) from 6:30 – 8 pm for a pizza dinner, games, activities and worship time. We encourage the children in our group to bring a friend to learn about God’s love for them

Middle School Youth

Middle school can be fun, exciting, challenging, and even scary at times. It is a time of transition that makes it a critical time for the parents of middle school youth and the church to help guide them through the transition and build them up in their faith in Jesus Christ. At Family of Christ our mission is to the whole family. So raising up the next generation of Christ followers is an exciting part of our ministry. We hope you’ll join us.

    • Confirmation is a middle school Bible study with Youth Group activities meeting every Wednesday evening from 6:30pm-8:00pm. We start with pizza and games in the Narthex and then finish with class in the classroom off the Narthex.
    • We also have an annual middle school mission trip, youth conferences, and service projects throughout the year.

High School Youth

In high school, kids are gaining more and more independence and they move towards becoming adults. This means it’s important to guide them into becoming faithful adults while still enjoying the freedom and fun of high school.

    • We have middle/high school events every 1st and 3rd Sunday after the 11am service where the kids get together for a fun activity with a Christ-centered, relevant message that follows. See our youth calendar for upcoming events.
    • Once a month we have youth group on Wednesday evening from 6:30pm-8pm. We start with Pizza in the Narthex and then have games and a Bible study on a topic relevant to the lives of the high schoolers. See the schedule for specific dates of the high school youth group.
    • We also have an annual high school mission trip, youth conferences, and service projects throughout the year.
