Mission & Values
- Seeking the Lost
- Incarnational (living our faith in the world)
- Bible Based
- Member-Driven Ministry (the church members are the driving force behind the church’s ministries)
Our mission is to intentionally go into our community to connect with and love people with the Gospel that they may be transformed into fully devoted followers of Christ by the grace of God.
The vision of Family of Christ North is to create a vibrant community of faith. Our vision is not about the current reality or what is. Vision is all about what could be. And not just what could be by our own abilities, but the reality that could be through the power and working of God.
At Family of Christ North, we envision our sharing the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection with thousands of unchurched people in the community, many of whom come to faith by the grace of God.
We envision developing all our people – New believers as well as established believers – into fully devoted followers of Christ through people-friendly worship services, Sunday school , Bible study, special events, missional communites, and personal discipleship.
We envision becoming a church with active missional communities where our people model Biblical community: a safe place where we can accept one another and are accepted, love and are loved, encourage and encouraged, forgive and are forgiven, and serve and are served. These communities actively and intentionally reach out to their neighbors in love and work together to serve those in need within the community of Wesley Chapel.
We envision helping all our people – youth as well as adults – to discover their divine designs so that they are equipped to serve Christ effectively not only in a ministry within the church, but also by serving those outside of the church as well as living our their faith in their daily lives, family, and work. Our goal is that every member be a minister.
We envision welcoming numerous members into our body who are excited about Christ, experience healing in their family relationships and marriages, and grow together in love.
We envision recruiting, training, and sending out many of our members as missionaries, church planters, and church workers all over the world. We envision planting a church in America, and especially in the central Florida region every three years and then helping them to grow and plant more churches themselves.
We envision a larger facility that will accommodate our growth and be accessible to the entire Wesley Chapel area. This facility will provide ample room for worship, Sunday School, Bible study, prayer, youth activities, and other meetings and ministries. While we do not solely believe that bigger is better, we do believe that numerical growth is a natural by-product of discipleship and sharing the Gospel. Thus, we desire to grow as God works in and through our church to reach the lost and dying world with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We envision having a thriving Child Development Center and Elementary/Middle school where children are well cared for, given excellent education, and are raised in the faith and that these children will go from the school well prepared for the challenges of the world they will face and well grounded in the Word of God through faith.
This is our vision!
