Welcome to Family of Christ
At Family of Christ, we are men, women, children, students, teachers, business professionals, artists, old, young, but most of all, we are family. Our worship environment is one in which the love of our lord can be felt throughout. We have been blessed with kind and God-loving members who attend our services with warm hearts and remain ever-loving servants to our Savior. If you feel as if your life is lacking a sense of forgiveness and love, our family of Christ stands with open arms, ready to lead the way.
What to Expect
When you come to Family of Christ, you will find a welcoming place with friendly people and loving hearts. You will be greeted at the door and handed a bulletin. All aspects of the service, along with announcements and other information is in the bulletin.

Biblical Teaching
Each week you will hear an engaging and relevant message that is centered on and rooted in the Word of God
Dress
At Family of Christ you will find people dressed in their Sunday best and others in shorts and a t-shirt. Most tend towards a casual dress, but it really isn’t important to us. What is important is that you come.
Children
We love children and consider them a vital part of our church family. There are children’s worship bags in the narthex (the area you come into when you enter the church building) that will help your child connect with the service. We also have nurseries in case the little ones start crying or need to move around a bit. There is also a children’s sermon during every worship service.
Sunday School
Sunday school is offered during our Sunday services. Right after the children’s sermon at 9:00 am services, the children are invited to go with the Sunday school teachers to Sunday school. At the 11:00 service, we are going to offer “Children’s church” for kids between the ages of 4 and 11 years. Parents can then pick up their children after the service from the Sunday school classroom(s). If you prefer, your children can stay with you during the service as well.
Adult Bible Study
Join us on Sundays at 10:00 am as Scott Jacobs leads a weekly Adult Bible Study. Each week follows the readings so can participate at any time. We hope to see you there.
Our Services
We offer both contemporary and traditional worship services, each about an hour long.
Traditional Services
Traditional and Contemporary Services
Saturday: 6:00 pm
Sunday: 9:00 am
If you grew up with the traditional Lutheran liturgy, you will feel right at home. We typically follow the general order of the Devine Service, but allows for some creativity. Hymns are sung at all traditional services.
Contemporary Services
Sunday: 11:00 am
If you enjoy singing worship songs from contemporary artists, this is your service. Our praise and worship songs incorporates contemporary music while not losing the beauty and depth of the traditional worship.
Communion
We celebrate The Lord’s Supper in every weekend worship service. When you commune you are confessing the Christian faith of the Holy Scriptures and faith in Jesus that confesses that:
-
- You believe you are a sinner and need God’s grace for the forgiveness of sin
- Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior and frees you from all sin, Satan, and death
- That in Holy Communion you receive the Real Presence, that is the Physical Body and Blood of Christ, in, with, and under the bread and wine, which is given and shed for your forgiveness
- That you resolve to dedicate your life to the service of our Lord in His body, the church, with regular group worship, sacrificial giving, and thankful living.
If you are unsure about receiving communion, you can feel free to stay in your seat or you can still participate by coming forward, but crossing your arms instead of holding out your hand and the Pastor will pray for you.
In additional to wine and traditional communion wafers, we also provide grape juice in the center of the communion tray and gluten free communion wafers upon request.
If you have any questions, please speak with our pastors before participating in communion.
We would love to see you soon!
We welcome you to attend one of our services. If you would like to discover more about Christ, meet some pretty amazing people, work to make a spiritual impact in our community through ministry, and are in need of a church family, visit Family of Christ and worship with us.
