Good Morning Church!
What an amazing first few weeks it has been here on campus! My family is LOVING being here. This community just gets better every day. Becky and I are amazed at the welcome you have given. Our girls are making new friends and fitting into the school very well. And like newbie Floridians, we have been to the beach 47 times in three weeks. Thank you for making our first days here such a positive experience. I look forward to meeting each of you and walking together in the years to come as we follow Jesus.
I wanted to take a few minutes of your time to update you on some of the exciting happenings here with the church and school. Here are a few things you need to know:
NEW MESSAGE SERIES: God Never Said That
Christians say the craziest things, sometimes. Starting this weekend, we begin exploring some of the most common things God never said, but that you might have definitely heard (and maybe even said!). Join us this Sunday to unpack the first one!
KIDS PRAISE & CONFIRMATION
We are growing! On Wednesday nights, we have a whole bunch of kids and middle schoolers learning God’s Word in age-appropriate environments and having fun from 6:30pm-8pm. Your kids and students are welcome to join. Our team is ready to help you get signed up. Just email lferguson@familyofchristtampa.com.
VOLUNTEER TEAMS
In my few weeks here, many of you have said you would like to find a way to help make Family of Christ awesome for our families and visitors. When you are ready to take your next step and become part of a Sunday Morning Welcome Team, Children’s Ministry Team, Student Ministry Team, or Campus Improvement Team… I would love to help you take that step.
SCHOOL EXPANSION UPDATE
We are in the homestretch of our expansion project to make more room for more students in our school. God has blessed us with record enrollment How great is it to think of all the kids God is bringing to our campus to learn about Jesus EVERY DAY! We can’t wait to get this building project across the goal line to expand our capacity. Please join us in prayer as we have a couple hurdles to cross with the city in these coming weeks… and watch out for a few cones at the campus entrance in the next few weeks.
