Have you ever had a secret that you did not want made public? All of us have. Sometimes these things are for something we have done or said and other times it is just because something has happened that we do not want part of public discussion.
This short simple proverb dwells on being able to live having a confidence in life. Integrity is in short supply in the world. Politics seems to lack it because politicians change the substance of their message as the wind shifts. Integrity is sticking to the truth and to the living God and living it out every day. It is hard. Yet when you walk with the Lord you have a sense of safety because you know Jesus is always by your side.
The other side of this is the promise that crooked ways are ultimately found out. God cannot be fooled by any means. What is hidden will be made clear and all things will come out in the end before God. What is often disappointing for us is that this does not always happen when we want. Sometimes it appears that those with crooked ways get away. This proverb reminds us that this is not the case with God, ever.
