On January 28 we are having a youth spaghetti fundraiser. The meal includes spaghetti, meat sauce, bread, salad, and a dessert. We are accepting a free-will donation for each meal.

Winter Jam

When:  Sat., Jan 13, 4:30pm – 11pm
Where: Meet at the church and we’ll take the bus to Amalie Arena
Cost: $15
Winter Jam is a massive Christian concert with several bands/musicians.  Some of the musicians that will be there are Skillet, Building 429, KB, Kari Jobe, Jodan Feliz, and comedian John Crist. For more information go to or contact the church office.

Parent’s Night Out – Christmas Edition

Want to get some Christmas shopping in for the kids or perhaps you’d just like a kid-free evening out?  We’d love to help.

This year, the church members of Family of Christ are offering childcare for the evening of Saturday, December 16.  Simply drop your child(ren) off at the church/school before heading out to shop.  We’ll take care of the rest.

Youth Ministry Ice Skating and Bible Discussion

2018 Ski Trip


Who: Youth and open to families.

When: January 2-5, 2018

Where: Winterplace, WV

Cost: $260 per person


Registration with a $100 deposit is due by Dec 3.

We’ll take the bus and leave early on Tues, January 2, arriving at Winterplace that evening.  We’ll be staying at the Sleep Inn Princeton for 3 nights.  Wednesday and Thursday we’ll be skiing and then we will return home Friday, January 5, arriving back at the church that evening. 

Included in the $260 cost is:

  • 3 nights hotel lodging at Sleep Inn Princeton
  • Continental breakfast
  • Indoor Pool
  • 2 day lifts (9am to 10pm)
  • 2 day ski OR snowboard rentals
  • Free beginning lesson
  • 2 Lunch vouchers
  • Bus trip to and from Winterplace

Individuals are responsible for their own ski clothing, though I’m sure things like ski bibs are available to rent, if they wish.  While breakfast and lunch are provided while at the hotel, individuals will be responsible for dinners (we’ll find a reasonably priced restaurant in the area).  Also, people are responsible for lunches and dinners (fast food) during the trips to and from Winterplace.  Of course, people may also want to bring additional money for snacks, souvenirs, etc.

Additional funds will be available to be applied to the cost for youth who participate in fundraising events.

Child Care for Night of Knights

Do you need someone to watch your kids while you have a great time at Night of Knights?

This year, the church members of Family of Christ are offering child care for the evening.  You simply drop your child(ren) off at the school before heading over to Hunter’s Green Country Club and we’ll take care of the rest.

2017 Middle School Mission Trip

June 12-15, 2017

This Summer we will be going on a local mission trip with the middle school youth. We will…

  • Volunteer with Metropolitan Ministries serving the poor in the Tampa area,
  • Help fix up the West campus.
  • Have a lock-in in the West campus gym.
  • Finish up with a trip to the beach the next day.

Daylight Saving Time and our Youth Breakfast!

DST begins March 12, 2017 at 2:00 am.

Move your clocks ahead 1 hour in spring (“Spring forward, fall back”).

If you change your clocks Saturday night before you go to bed, you
won’t be late for church.

See you at church and don’t eat breakfast!
