2017 Middle School Mission Trip

June 12-15, 2017

This Summer we will be going on a local mission trip with the middle school youth. We will…

  • Volunteer with Metropolitan Ministries serving the poor in the Tampa area,
  • Help fix up the West campus.
  • Have a lock-in in the West campus gym.
  • Finish up with a trip to the beach the next day.

Details:
Monday and Tuesday we will leave the church at 8:30 am and drive to Metropolitan Ministries near downtown Tampa.  We will spend the day helping with families, assembling food, or other forms of service which they do for the needy in Tampa every day.  This will not only serve those in need in our community but also let the youth see the poverty situation in Tampa and what is being done to help those in need.  At the end of Monday and Tuesday, we will return to the church (Central campus) where parents will pick up the kids for the night.

On Wednesday, we will head over to the West campus and do some work around the campus.  That night we will have a lock-in at the West campus in their gym and classrooms.  We’ll have a time of worship, play some games, eat some pizza and snacks and have a great time.  Then Thursday morning we’ll go from the West campus to the beach for a few hours and be back at the church (Central campus) by evening.

The total cost for the trip is $125.

In addition to participation in the Metropolitan Ministries service activities, this includes lunch on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday as well as dinner and snacks and activities for the lock-in on Wednesday night.  Breakfast will be provided on Thursday morning.

We are not requiring a deposit.  The total is due by June 4.

Important!!

Chaperones and Minimum # of Youth:
We need at least 1 adult chaperone for every 5 youth.  Also, Metropolitan Ministries requires a minimum of 10 youth.  So, we need a to have at least 10 middle school youth to sign up to be able to do the trip.

Bingo Fundraiser – May 20, 2017

Who loves BINGO?  We Do!!  Bingo Fundraiser for a good cause!!!

The Women’s Ministry invites you to join us for a fun-filled afternoon as we work to purchase an AED Defibrillator for our Church, School (K-8), and Community.  We have already collected 62% towards our goal and after the event, we are sure that we will meet our goal!

When: Saturday, May 20th

Time: 3:00-5:00 pm  First ball drops at 3:15 pm so get there early!

We will be selling Raffle Tickets between services on May 14th, or pick up an envelope in the Narthex and leave your info & payment and we’ll get the lucky ticket back to you. Raffle tickets will be drawn for Assorted Fun Prizes.
Bingo winners will win Gift Baskets.
$1 per entry or 6 for $5—Need not be present to win.
